RECAP: Cross Country competed at the NCAA Regional Championships Saturday (November 9)
INSIDE THE WOMEN'S RACE (6,000 METERS)
- Northwood placed 25th out of 32 teams with 678 points.
- Grand Valley State was the overall winner with 40 points, followed by Michigan Tech (146) and Walsh (155)
- A total of 223 runners competed in the race, with Allie Ludge of GVSU winning with a time of 20:34.7.
NORTHWOOD RESULTS:
- Madison Brooks – 82nd: 22:55.1 – Personal-best. Eighth fastest 6K performance in program history.
- Lainey Veenkant – 101st: 23:14.2
- Katherine Wozniak – 152nd: 24:27.5
- Amanda Aquinaga – 172nd: 25:12.9
- Amanda Kalkman – 185th: 25:43.3 – Personal-best.
- Olivia Haring – 196th: 26:13.2 – Personal-best
INSIDE THE MEN'S RACE (10,000 METERS)
- Northwood also placed 10th out of 31 teams overall with 311 points.
- GVSU took home the men's title with 52 points, followed by Michigan Tech (116) and Southern Indiana (134).
- A total of 208 runners competed in the race. Titus Winders of Southern Indiana was the overall winner at 31:05.8.
NORTHWOOD RESULTS:
- Zane Aldrich – 36th: 32:57.4 – Personal-best. Eleventh fastest 10K performance in program history.
- Brian Patrick – 44th: 33:12.3
- Eric Poth – 57th: 33:23.7 – Personal-best. Sixteenth fastest performance in program history.
- Netunji Paige – 82nd: 33:53.9 – Personal-best
- Mike Allen – 97th: 34:12.6 – Personal-best
- Trestin Mancillas-Finnerty – 122nd: 34:49.0 – Personal-best
- Parker Hayes – 167th: 36:22.6
