Women's Tennis Falls To Wayne State 4-0 In GLIAC Tournament Semifinals

RECAP: Fifth-seeded Northwood falls to No. 1 Wayne State 4-0 in the GLIAC Tournament Semifinals Saturday night (October 26).

INSIDE THE MATCH

  • Doubles was very even, with each team pulling out close wins to get things started. Wayne State won 6-4 at the third slot while Northwood was victorious 7-5 at the No. 1 position. The doubles point came down to the No. 2 match, which the Warriors won in a tiebreaker. That made the score 1-0 heading into singles.
  • Wayne State was the better team in singles, winning straight-set matches at the No. 3, 4 and 6 positions to close out the match.
