Cross Country Teams Compete At Spartan Invitational
The Northwood University cross country teams competed at the Spartan Invitational Friday evening (September 13).
No team scoring was taken at the event, which was hosted by Michigan State University.
The women's team was led by Danielle Miller (Clinton Twp., Mich./Fraser). She placed 21st out of non-division I competitors in the event, clocking a 22:25 over the 6K course. Kelsey Burgess (Byron Center, Mich./Grand Rapids South Christian) was 42nd with a time of 23:00.
On the men's side, Enock Rono (Eldroet, Kenya) led the way for the Timberwolves. He clocked a 25:32 on the 8K course to finish 26th overall among non D-1 runners. Silas Dekalita clocked a 25:43 to finish 37th overall.
Northwood will compete at the Louisville Classic October 5.
